The Wedding Planner

We’ve just finished watching the Ultimate Wedding Planner on television and my goodness the finalists really pulled out all the stops for the happy couple on their big day. Over the past few weeks, we have seen the wedding planner competitors grow and develop their wedding planning skills. They worked hard and obviously took the judges feedback onboard because what resulted in the final was simply spectacular. With only three days to prepare for the final wedding it just goes to show how capable these wedding professionals can be.

So, the question is, can you afford to plan your wedding without one? Well a little indulgence never hurt anyone but I think the answer lies in your own capabilities. If you are, by nature, an established and confident organiser and have a clear picture in your mind as to how your day will go and what it is you want then you probably don’t need a planner. However, if you don’t feel very confident and somewhat stressed and overwhelmed at the thought of planning your day then maybe a wedding planner is something to seriously consider. Word of mouth is always best when choosing your planner, but reading reviews and face to face meetings are also something that should not be ruled out.

Along with all the advantages of a wedding planner such as their contacts, experience, ideas, budgeting skills and wedding industry knowledge you will be handing the control over to them – is that something you are prepared to do? The best solution is to weigh up the pros and cons of such a service and make your decision based on the outcome of this task.

As we have said before, there is a lot of handy and helpful information on the internet including step by step wedding planning guides. There are articles outlining wedding day options, how to plan on a budget, forecasted colour schemes and wedding attire fashions for the next 2-3 years and so it goes on.

Finally, there are a lot of organised wedding fayres taking place throughout the year where you can take the opportunity to meet and discuss your requirements with various wedding vendors, including wedding planners. To find out where these fayres are taking place why type ‘wedding fayres near me’ into your search engine?
